Carter Lynch in Lady Be Good

“Lynch is a natural. It would be hyperbole to compare him to Fred Astaire who starred in the original production. But Lynch does have that innate gracefulness that allows him to slide from walking to dancing without an awkward transition. . . It’s hard to take your eyes off of Carter Lynch . . .”

Carter Lynch in Jekyll & Hyde

“The show demands a vibrant actor in the dual role and Carter Lynch is it. Lynch has the talent to mesmerize an audience with his good looks, the ability to project emotion and the strong clear voice which is equally good at solos and duets. The charismatic actor makes a dramatic transition from the idealistic, tormented Jekyll to the depraved Hyde in “Transformation”/ “Alive” and delivers a show stopping “This is the Moment,”

Carter Lynch in Jekyll & Hyde

“Mr. Lynch captures Dr. Jekyll idealism, dedication, and anguish as things go wrong, and his convulsions are dramatically punctuated by the orchestra. His singing voice is strong and his performance heartfelt. Mr. Lynch’s rendition of “Lost in Darkness” is tender and sweet, and the contrast is striking between it and the dramatic song that follows, “Need to Know.”

A Summer to Remember

“Carter Lynch, who has played a lead role in every CLOC production this summer, was again outstanding as builder Thomas Andrews . . . Lynch embraces both the idealism and the fatal flaws of his character.” – Falmouth Enterprise

The College Light Opera Company based in Falmouth, Massachusetts, has provided the Cape Cod area with high quality musical theater for over 41 years. Selecting its company through a National application process, the group ultimately consists of 32 performers, 18 orchestra members, 6 technicians and 6 costumers. Nine musicals are produced each summer directed by professional with backgrounds in music and stage directing in New York and other regional theaters.

Within this highly competitive environment, Carter gained the lead in 7 out of 9 musicals produced by the company. For the first 5 weeks of production, Carter was rehearsing for one lead during the day, while performing another lead at night. In order, Carter was Tommy in Brigadoon, Col, Fairfax in Yeoman of the Guard, Dick Treavor in Lady Be Good, Bill Snibson in Me and My Girl and Mr. Andrews in Titanic. Over the next two weeks, Carter was a featured dancer at Louise’s Ballet in Carousel, and one of the comic chefs in Most Happy Fellow. Carter finished his summer as Captain Corcoran in the HMS Pinafore and topped his season off as the title character in Jekyll & Hyde.

The reviews for Carter’s work were nothing short of terrific and can be seen here. His work also earned him recognition as one of the top performers on Cape Cod for 2009; the only performer to be cited for two performances, Brigadoon and Jekyll & Hyde.
